Alan Walker 1983 - 1988

Alan was playing with the Solihull Barons during the 1982/93 season and started the following season at Hobs Moat Road. However, with brother John Walker starting the 1983/84 season with Pirates, it was only a matter of time before Alan jumped ship. Joining late in the season, Alan wasted no time in belittling his diminutive frame to win over the fans with his bustling and hard skating style.

Alan was an ever present in Pirates championship winning 1984/85 season and only missed one game in the 1986/87 championship winning side where he played alongside the likes of Doug McEwen and former NHL iron-man Garry Unger.

Another full season in 1987/88 was Alan’s last for the Pirates and his return on 16th march will be warmly welcomed by fans of both clubs.
