Duncan Cook 2002 - 2003
Playing Participant in the Legends of Peterborough event March 16th 2008
Duncan Cook came to the UK from college hockey and joined Solihull Barons for the 2001/02 EPL season under Peterborough based coach Kevin King. The 200lb, 6’ 2” rangy power-forward quickly established himself as a star on the Barons side, chalking up 91 points from just 26 games.
When the new look Phantoms set up for their debut season in the EPL, the prolific Cook was snapped up quickly and that proved a decision well made as “Cookie” powered himself to a 78+81 return for a strike rate that remains a Phantoms club record today. His contribution played a key part in Phantoms winning a League and Cup double in their first season.
Duncan returned home the following season but made a brief re-appearance for Chelmsford in the 2004/05 season where, despite having not played for some time, he still averaged more than two points per game.
