Ian Cade 1982 - 1988
Playing Participant in the Legends of Peterborough event March 16th 2008
Ian Cade was Pirates netminder in their first ever game on 26th June 1982 against Nottingham Trojans and backstopped them throughout that first season.
Despite having to share duties with the likes of Ron Katerynuk, John Tague, Chris Newton and Jason Wood, Ian stayed loyal to the Pirates throughout their first six seasons during which he played a part in securing two league championship wins. Ian moved on to Lee Valley for the 1988/89 season and even showed up for an early Milton Keynes Kings season in 1991/92.
Fondly remembered as our first ever netminder, it will be great to see Ian back in nets on 16th March.
