James Morgan 1996 - 2008
Playing Participant in the Legends of Peterborough event March 16th 2008
James made a remarkable debut for Pirates against Slough on 21st December 1996 as a mere fourteen year old but the career of the promising junior took off after he spent part of his teens in Canada, playing Junior A hockey.
On returning to the UK, James played at Milton Keynes before returning home between 2000 and 2001. After stints at Guildford and Bracknell, James made the jump to the Elite League where he performed with distinction at Nottingham Panthers both as a defenceman and as a forward.
James returned once more to Phantoms in 2003 and, after further brief tours to Chelmsford and Milton Keynes, has settled in to form a key part of the current side.
Always a hugely popular player with his home town fans, his free-spirited and flamboyant style has often brought him into conflict with coaches trying to shoe-horn him into a specific role but James has undoubtedly proven himself to be one of the finest talents to come out of the Peterborough development set-up.
