Lewis Buckman 1999 - 2008
Playing Participant in the Legends of Peterborough event March 16th 2008
Heralded as one of the most exciting prospects coming out of UK junior hockey, Lewis made a Pirates debut as a sixteen year old in the 1999/2000 season and played regular shifts through to the team’s demise in 2002.
Lewis was a standout player in Phantoms opening two seasons where he won one League Championship and two EPL Cup medals before his exploits caught the eye of Nottingham Panthers late in the 2003/04 season.
Lewis started the 2004/05 season with Basingstoke but failed to settle in, returning home to Peterborough, via Milton Keynes, in 2004/05.
Having made over 200 appearances for Phantoms at more than a point a game, Lewis has proven himself to be one of the finest adverts for the Peterborough development set-up and now proudly leads his side as Captain.
